Along the Golden Coast of California, two souls collide while chasing freedom. Set in the last days of disco, Billy, a queer rent-boy, is on the run from the Texas police; Constanza, a filipina immigrant, has a visa that’s about to expire. Together, they enter a sham marriage to achieve their own American Dream. Hide & Hide is a Homeric Odyssey that disrupts and rebuilds The American Fantasy.

Funding for this production is provided by the Los Angeles New Play Project, the Vladimir and Araxia Buckhantz Foundation, and the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.

Arts Partnerships

Reflections on Art and Democracy is a celebration of plays, lectures, and concerts in Los Angeles aimed at raising awareness about the rise of fascism and antisemitism, the power of art and design to resist them, and the confluence of visual and performative artworks to promote democracy. Participants include Los Angeles performing arts and cultural organizations presenting events between March and October 2025 to advance art and performance as a platform to confront fascism, antisemitism, and other forces threatening democracy.
